For this purpose, TEVTA will setup a database of skilled workforce.
TEVTA was formed through an Ordinance (No XXIV of 1999) promulgated by Governor of the Punjab which has now been replaced by TEVTA ACT (ACT X of 2010) Punjab. The mission of TEVTA is to enhance global competitiveness in Punjab, through a quality and productive workforce by developing demand driven, standardized, dynamic and integrated technical education and vocational training service.
Through this initiative, TEVTA Foreign Placement Center will play a vital role in decreasing the rate of unemployment and will help the country to get foreign exchange too. In 2015, the target of TEVTA is to train 400,000. Last year TEVTA trained 98,500 people. Out of them only 50% were employed and others are still waiting for their call.
