Good News: But one of the good news that Government of Punjab is now planning to distribute tablet computers among school students of Punjab province through a new scheme “Smart School System”. These Tablet PCs will be given only to students of class 6 to 10 while students of primary classes will not be eligible for this scheme.
Reason Distribute Tablet : The Reason is provided here to distribute the Tablet (Tab) PC to students. Punjab Government is formulating the project for large scale distribution of computers so the school students will get rid of heavy bags. He also said that all books included in the course of a class will be installed in the computers.

Each Tablet PC would cost about PKR 5000. While talking with media he said that a British based firm and a software company has been shortlisted for the provision of these tablets. An agreement with these firms is expected very soon in the presence of CM Mian Shahbaz Sharif.
Rana Mashood Ahmed who is the provincial education minister of Punjab said that Punjab government is going to formulate the tablet PCs for school children’s and in this way the students will get rid from heavy bags and they can also learn the use of a computer and can make their country advance. He further said that all books included in the courses will be installed into the Tablets while each digital book would cost approximately Rs. 5000.
Students will no need to carry books with them because all syllabi are already installed in their tablets. When He was talking with media, Rana Mashood Ahmed said that they have made an agreement with a British company and soon they will be shortlist the candidates for Punjab Government Tablets Scheme.
