UHS MDCAT Entry Test Syllabus 2020-21 MDCAT Entrance Test

University of Health Sciences Lahore UHS has established the department of Medical Education thirteen years ago in the year of 2004. Department is producing hundreds of graduate doctors every year. Department strives for excellence in medical teaching and learning since its inception and provides educational resources and training, professional services and maintains active research involvement across the health and allied sciences. Medical students would keep in mine that this field demands more handwork then other fields so they have to work harder to get and resist in this field of medicine.

First of all, we will inform you who is getting confused with MDCAT as MCAT has been changed to MDCAT stands for Medical and Dental Colleges Admissions Test.  From now the term MCAT and MDCAT both will be used for UHS Entry Test 2017.so don’t get confused as MCAT and MDCAT both are the same.

Each of the four sections of MCAT is scored between 118 and 132, with the mean and median at 125. This means the total score ranges from 472 to 528, with the mean and median at 500. MCAT is made up of 4 sections, each one scored between 118-132, with a total possible score ranging from 472-528. For comparison, the old MCAT was made up of 3 sections, each one scored between 1-15, with a total possible score of 3-45.

Students applying for the UHS Entrance test will be conducted by UHS most in every city of Pakistan. Students can download entry test forms online and other information from the UHS website as well. UHS Entry Test will be held in the months of August and September usually every year dates will be announced this month expectantly.

The formula for calculating the merit

 Step 1

Total obtained marks in SSC Matric or Equivalent divided by Total marks of SSC or Equivalent x 1100 x 0.10 = 10% of SSC or Equivalent

 Step 2

Total obtained Marks in intermediate HSSC or Equivalent divided by Total marks of HSSC/Equivalent x 1100 x 0.40 = 40% of HSSC or Equivalent

Step 3

Total obtained Marks in Entrance Test /SAT II/MCAT divided by Total marks of Entrance Test /SAT II/MCAT x 1100 x 0.50 = 50% of Admission Test

 Step 4

10% Matric  SSC or Equivalent + 40% intermediate HSSC or Equivalent +50% entrance Test = Aggregate Marks

Last 5th Step

Now in last step aggregate Marks divided by 1100 x 100 = Aggregate Percentage %


MCAT is a test which contains a total of 220 MCQs from these four major subjects given below

  • Physics
  • chemistry
  • biology
  • English
  • 220 MCQs

Time of examination

The time period for attempting this entrance test will be given only 2 hours and 30 minutes which is 150 minutes only so strident must come on time so he or she can solve MCQs easily. At the time of attempting many students skip one MCQ’ s that they will solve it later and then forget and his/her all the sequence of MCQs get disturbed so, circle the answers carefully and reserve a few minutes in the end to recheck the answers are solved correctly or not.
